Late on 12\/19, the U.S. Senate passed a short-term continuing resolution (CR) that would avert a shutdown. The House is expected to take up the bill on Thursday, 12\/20, and if passed it will go to President Trump for his signature. This would provide funding through 2\/8\/19. This would also continue funding for the IRS and Treasury Dept.
